Beenleigh & Districts Senior Citizens Centre is one of the largest Senior Citizens Centres of it’s type in Queensland. We are located at 20 Alamein Street Beenleigh and are open Monday to Friday except on Public Holidays.
Our Commitment to Community
Our Senior Citizens Centre prides itself on being one of the best facilities in Queensland for over 50’s. At the Centre we like to celebrate the diversity of older people in our district each and every day. We strive to promote a positive image of ageing to all who attend.
Australia has an ageing population, with many people living longer and retiring earlier. This means there is now a significant number of healthy, active older people who want to continue to contribute to community life, retaining their independence and respect.
You will not find negative attitudes, stereotypes & discrimination associated with ageing at the Centre. We encourage seniors to fully participate in all aspects of the Centre & the wider community. We believe that seniors can contribute so much to our society and we will always encourage them to do so, to the best of their ability. We, the Management & Staff, at the Centre promote older age as a time to live a fulfilling and varied life. We encourage positive attitudes to ageing with all who participate at the Centre.
We encourage positive attitudes to ageing and SENIORS and the involvement of people of all ages over 50 and backgrounds at the Centre. We provide varied activities for SENIORS and younger persons with a disability.
We also provide support for frail aged and younger persons with a disability who have been deemed eligible through the assessment process. After ascertaining eligibility we can offer many areas of care through our services.
We hope that you will come along and visit us – The Centre where life is lived and fun has no age limit and where there are no strangers only friends you have not met yet.
